I worked alongside Rich on a number of international events across the Automotive Logistics portfolio, ranging from Mexico, to Europe, China to North America and was impressed by the speed and ease in which he fitted into both the role and importantly the constantly travelling team. Working in unison is so key for operations and the production teams and Rich is fantastic at ensuring he plays his part in that. In the planning stages Rich was always incredibly open and communicative, ensuring my team knew what was needed for the layout of the conferences, listening and working with us when there were changes to venue or structure of the event that would impact the end result. On site, this was no different, I could always rely on Rich to keep me up to speed with the day's happenings that may impact us, as well as being first on site in the morning to help and support my team in preparation of the event starting. I was unable to attend one of our series of events in China and Rich immediately offered to help however he could, including taking on a number of roles to support two events within another of our portfolios to ensure their smooth running, working alongside me from the UK to achieve three successful events. No mean feat! One of Rich's strengths which impressed me straight off and over the last year I have seen grow and develop, is his relationships with the incredible array of speakers throughout the events. As well as a genuine interest in the industry, it's very clear to see that Rich thrives from these relationships and ensuring that they grow and strengthen. I've overheard him at conferences checking in with a speaker about their son or daughter and the latest family news, giving his full attention to that speaker in that moment. It's small things like this that make all the difference in the event world - the human factor. In the last year, I've seen and heard that Rich has been pivotal in the portfolio's online events, developing them to create the best experience possible for his speakers, all of which has been clear to see in the feedback on Rich's post event LinkedIn posts alone! As we move into live events for 2021 and onwards into 2022, stepping into the unknown and changing how these live events once ran to create bigger and better experiences, I can only imagine that Rich will become an even bigger cog in the AL machine, ensuring that the next steps and the development of the events are structured to an even higher standard. I look forward to seeing and hearing how it all goes!

Richard is extremely comfortable in holding a good conversation and getting his views and points across in private and public arenas in a professional manner.
