As a Patrol Sergeant I supervised 15 officers in the field. I issued work assignments, coordinating training, and conducted disciplinary investigations. Upon my return to the Training Division I continued to research and develop lesson plans. I was also project lead on the implementation of new computer aided dispatch and records management software in the department.Since 2018 I have been the Terminal Access Coordinator for the department. In this position I was responsible for maintaining agency compliance with state and national law enforcement records management systems. This included leading the department through multiple state and federal audits with a 100% passing rate.

In 2013 I started in the Training Division with multiple responsibilities. I researched, developed, and presented lesson plans. I updated our field training manual which had remained untouched since 1988. The updated version now allows for more efficient training of recruits in the field. Additionally I conducted tests and evaluations of new equipment, conducted research, and data analysis for special reports. Shortly after joining the division it was tasked with additional duties. This included property management. I tracked and issued department property to authorized personnel and was responsible for collecting property from separated employees. Since 2013, I have also represented the Police Department as a Public Information Officer. I have conducted press conferences, both live and recorded television broadcasted interviews, and written press releases.

From 2011 to 2013 I was in the Traffic Division where I performed traffic enforcement duties. This included running checkpoints, speed enforcement, and collision investigation. I successfully cleared over 600 offenses and maintained a homicide clearance rate of 90%. I was a member of the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. We conducted traditional and digital investigations to catch and arrest child pornographers.It was during this time I became a certified law enforcement instructor and began teaching.

In 2020, the college received a charter from the State of Arkansas to start their own police department. I became a part-time lieutenant with that department. Maintained security in the emergency room and responded to calls for service anywhere within the property of the hospital. Acted as a liaison between the police department and hospital management to mitigate risk due to conflict-of-interest issues.
