  XYZ Music Academy I was offered the role of Part-Time Drum Tutor by my own teacher, Duncan Lee, having worked hard to develop my drumming ability. This was then transferred to a full-time role 4 months later. This was then transferred to a full-time role 4 months later. I continued to develop my playing ability while gaining a distinction in my Grade 8 exam and striving to widen my knowledge and versatility on the instrument. While in this role I worked closely with Duncan to develop my skills as a teacher and view things from a teaching perspective. This has given me the ability to be very adaptive and understanding to students of all ages, abilities and backgrounds and develop tailor-made tuition schedules for each individual to place them on the right path to achieving their music goals - however ambitious they may be. Through sitting the Rockschool Grading system, learning excerpts from Trinity and exposure to a huge range of musical styles I have been able to transition from the role of a student to a well-rounded tutor, with a 100% pass rate in sitting students through their Graded Exams. My role as a tutor has further been enhanced through my extensive experience of gigging though my band, The Repeat Offenders. Having played at world-renowned venues such as The Electric Ballroom, The Garage, London KOKO and the O2 Academy in Birmingham, and recording at Paul Weller’s Blackburn Studios I am able to offer advice and guidance on the experiences a musician can expect beyond the learning environment.

I also trained and lead members of staff in their roles, focusing on employee development, customer satisfaction and business growth. Furthermore, I delivered a high level of customer service to our clients and acted as a role model to other employees, all with a view of maintaining great customer satisfaction and an excellent success rate. I have played an integral role in overseeing and developing our social media presence, administrative procedures and the general running of XYZ Music Academy. I assisted customers with requests and complaints, however complex, with the highest levels of customer service that has come to be associated with the Waitrose brand.
