Mechanical / OLE Graduate Design Engineer. Working through designs on 25kV Overhead Line Electrification Projects. The projects that I am currently involved in include; Thameslink (Canal Tunnels - Mk3B and Conductor Beam) During this project I was part of the team which was responsible for the design of 'Canal Tunnels' layout and corresponding cross sections throughout the Canal Tunnels. Using BS and Network Rail standards we designed both heights and staggers, while using engineering knowledge to ensure that any clearance issues (electrical/mechanical) were resolved quickly and accurately. Midland Metro - Birmingham City Extension (Tramway) During this project myself and a small team of OLE Design engineer are working together to develop the layout designs which will be used to construct the extension the the Birmingham City Tramway. The extension uses Brecknell Willis FT equipment and will eventually be extended to the new HS2 (high speed railway). Currently I am involved in the developing concept sketches of arrangements of cantilevers, wall fixings, and support arms which will be used throughout the route to safely support, and terminate the tensioned contact wire. West Coast - Power Supply Upgrade GWEP using series 1 and 2 designing the electrification systems for the Great Western Electrification. using AutoCAD and ELFF automation tools
