  Lochinvar designs, manufactures and distributes a large range of High Efficiency / Condensing Water Heaters, Boilers and Renewable Solutions such as Solar Thermal and Heat Pumps. Lochinvar fully supports installation work with on-site technical support on all our renewable equipment. My responsibility is to provide project support to installers on complex Heat Pump and Solar Thermal projects, including site visits during various stages of the installation work.Key tasks include :-• Main technical contact for all customers using our renewable equipment.• Oversee renewable projects taking them from installation through to commissioning stage.• Provide technical support to various Lochinvar departments covering renewable equipment.• Assist with all aspects of product training – with an emphasis on Sales-related training. • Produce programs to assist with the sizing of equipment and other technical related subjects. • Assist with the delivery of the CPD Seminar programmes.• Work with Group colleagues and OEM’s in terms of existing renewable product development.• Work closely with technical support group in terms of monitoring product/component issues in order to identify potential product improvements.• Assist consultants/design engineers with large/complex DHW/Heating system designs utilising renewable technologies.• Work with product management to update and maintain literature relating to renewable equipment. I then moved onto a senior engineer position followed by a move to our head office as technical supervisor. My role as technical supervisor was to oversee the technical centre that housed our training centre, spares department and training facility.
