General Manager My responsibilities include the day to day supervision of the resort and its employees. I also sit on the board of the Home Owner’s Association. In addition, I’m responsible for: • The recruitment, training and management of the professional staff. • Providing strong leadership to promote sales and rentals. • Pricing and Yield Management. • Development and implementation of the sales plan. • Budgeting. • RCI functions. • Maintaining a strong relationship with other Win-Sum Ski Corporation managers. Key Accomplishments: I am the first General Manager of the Tamarack Club. With that in mind, I developed all the policies and procedures now in place. Including but not limited to, Operations, Personnel, Financial, Guest and Employee Safety. I developed the marketing plan and executed it in conjunction with my counterparts at the other Holiday Valley lodging operations. As the Tamarack Clubs first General Manager, I opened the hotel at the beginning of the 2009-2010 ski season to rave reviews from my guests and owners and maintained that level of satisfaction throughout the season. General Manager In addition to my day to day responsibilities for over thirty departments and twenty diverse revenue centers, I served as an officer on our three Timeshare corporation's boards. For four years, I managed the Timeshare companies directly. One of my biggest challenges was integrating the Resort and Timeshare properties. I achieved this by meeting with both company’s department heads and going into exhaustive detail at staff and executive committee meetings. Key Accomplishments: • Revenue increased from $12,600,000 to $17,400,000. This was accomplished while our Hotel room inventory was reduced over 30%. Older standard Hotel rooms were converted into one and two bedroom suites. ADR and REVPAR were both increased as well as the use of Timeshare inventory for Hotel groups. Revenues were split 40% Rooms, 46% F&B and 14% Recreation. • My work with the Group sales and Reservation departments was instrumental in making the Villa Roma the most successful resort in the Catskill region. Lower priced senior citizen tour bus groups have been replaced with social and corporate meeting business. This shift has been key to increasing profits. • I have supervised Hotel, Recreation and Timeshare renovation and expansion projects that ranged from $20,000 to over $1,000,000. After a devastating fire in 2006, we embarked on a $25,000,000 rebuild and renovation program. Show less
