  During my time at Jardine Motors I had the opportunity to shadow the Commercial Director, which gave me a fascinating top-down insight into the world of dealer groups and the automotive industry. I spent time within the BMW Sales Team. Through this experience I gained an appreciation of the need for consistent processes and customer centricity. I shadowed the VW/BMW/MINI marketing teams to understand how this support function assists the business with sales activities. I observed the back-end of customer relationship management, the automated processes behind this and how it impacts the customer journey. I also gained an understanding of the social media strategy and communications. I spent time with JMG’s charity partner, Whizz Kids. This gave me an overview of Jardine’s corporate social responsibility agenda and how working with a charity partner supports the corporate values of the business. Show less

  Working within a team to erect semi-permanent structures for corporate and private events. Corporate clients included Goodwood Festival of Speed, where we assembled the Lamborghini marquee and The Boodles Tennis Challenge, assembling various structures for the event. Building an understanding of customer requirements for clients and adapting to them on the fly if last minute changes are made. This high-pressure and fast=paced environment meant I learnt new skills quickly such as mechanical problem solving and co-ordination on a large scale. Breaking down big tasks and delegating areas to the team in order to work efficiently and meet the daily deadlines that we were set adapting to changes on the job quickly, whilst ensuring health and safety standards were met.
