  Having purchased the hotel in 2004 we refurbished every Bedroom and Public Area, the adjoining Jacobean Pub and Award winning Gardens whilst doubling the hotels turnover and profitability. The hotel celebrated 400 years by creating a successful Restaurant; The1610 Steak Restaurant. Working alongside Best Western in 2014 we moved in to the PLUS category of hotels within the group. 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019 also saw the hotel win a GOLD award in Yorkshire In Bloom's Hotel section whilst achieving BEST in overall newcomer. The hotel has achieved (2016, 2017, 2018 & 2019) been awarded an International Quality Award from Best Western Hotels. In 2016 we built 5 Superior Bedrooms, The Suites @ The Manor, bringing life back to Barns from the 1800's. Wedding Temples were also added creating the backdrop for stunning Wedding photos.. We sit at 4.5 from 5 on Tripadvisor and proudly state as the No. 1 Hotel in Pontefact via Tripadvisor.
