Coordinated and trained company participants on behalf of Virginia Tech Learning Factory. In close collaboration with my senior design project's accomplishments, we worked with the head of the Learning Factory at VT to operate a class which taught the Lean Manufacturing fundamentals in the context of a simulated production environment. To effectively convey the material we utilized the simulated production space, a classroom environment for lecture and review in between, and a custom Excel KPI tracker to track and measure user performance over the event to show increases in performance, such as total output and operating costs vs profits. Each class always yielded superior results by the third and final round versus the first, with notable final round profit margins consistently over 100%. Show less
