  The role focuses on managing Strategic Customer Relationships in QinetiQ’s key C4ISTAR accounts, both with the MoD and Industry. This required defining those key accounts and then developing personal relationships with the major stakeholders to ensure that QinetiQ helps shape Customer requirements, remains well-positioned and credible in the eyes of the customer to bid and win programmes. It includes eliciting information from customers and potential competitors/partners to help build successful bids for individual programmes. A major part of the role covers the definition of QinetiQ’s C4ISTAR business strategy in conjunction with the Operating Divisions. I authored the market perspective of C4ISTAR (Blue Book), including our evolving role, the role of competitors and future opportunities; whilst focusing on the UK it included an international dimension. Support was given to the Sectors to integrate the Blue Book analysis into their Corporate Plans.
