I provided a employability service to anyone over 18 years old to help them into sustainable employment. Anyone seeking the employability support of this service can face many difficulties and barriers to employment such as ageism, addictions, mental health issues, long term health conditions and/or disabilties and criminal convictions. I worked on a one to one basis with participants, building trusting relationships to help people with their job preferences and goals and building and implementing their action plan to meet these goals. I was responsible for recording case notes after meetings with participants. This involved motivational chats, confidence building, CV writing, interview preparation, application support, personal statement support and job searching and applying. Once in employment I provided a range of In Work Support, as required, to both the participant and employer. Other responsibilities included attending team meetings, case conferences, updating and maintaining participant files for Scottish Government audits.
