During my URF, I wrote and published workbooks in Jupyter notebook to PICUP. These workbooks are online, interactive modules that help students learn Python and how to apply Python to mathematical physics problems. Some of the modules I designed involve using Schwarz-Christoffel mappings to analyze an electric field distributions and using simulations to model the behavior of gas particles and help discover other thermodynamic properties of a system.

Remote Intern
-
Jul 2021 - Sep 2021
I did a remote internship with Fredrico Bonetto at Georgia Institute of Technology. This internship was an introduction to mathematical physics research. I was given articles to read and annotate while also given practice problems to help me better understand the research. We mainly discussed the Kac equation, Markov chain operators, and equilibrium. I learned how the Kac equation was derived and how the equation models the evolution of a system going in and out of equilibrium states. At the end of the internship, I was introduced to current research in this area and how the Kac equation is applied to modern research in the field of statisical mechanics.
