Key parts of the role were to drive the development of new content, recruit, manage and incentivise key creative talent, manage key stakeholders at ESG Group and shareholder level, improve financial performance and manage relationships with all the main customers of the company Key achievements include:- • Growing EBITDA organically by over 40% between 2015 and 2018, though a combination of revenue growth and cost savings • Overseeing a creative renewal culminating in the launch of 112 new titles in last 3 years, with 75 of those returning and a significant number travelling internationally • Driving a 92% increase in business with new SVOD customers (particularly Netflix and Amazon) in 2019 • Reducing the cost base by more than £10m (24%), whilst maintaining staff satisfaction survey ratings in excess of 90% • Launching a number of talent led labels as well as closing down several under-performing production companies and labels • Playing a significant role behind the scenes with PACT to deliver new terms of trade with BBC and C4 • Developing a regional strategy and building production labels or bases in Manchester, Leeds, Bristol and Glasgow – 46% of hours produced regionally in 2019 • Creating an inclusive and supportive culture, resulting in a gender pay gap in favour of women, and BAME representation double the industry average
