Assistant Dockmaster
-
May 2021 - Oct 2023
As the assistant dock master for two summers, I assisted in the management of approximately 8 dock staff per day as well as oversaw most waterfront transactions. While in the role I assisted the acting dock master with the logistics of over 300 reservations per summer, juggling both seasonal slip usage as well as transient dockage in over 180 slips. I also assisted in the operation and management of the fuel dock at the marina with a capacity of over 36k gallons and consistently orchestrated large volume sales, often amounting to over 10k gallons in a singular sale. While in the position I also frequently practiced interpersonal skills as I was in constant contact with all our boaters via phone calls or email. From small boaters to yacht captains and even sometimes their owners, I strived to provide a world class experience promoting our on-site amenities and restaurants as well as giving local recommendations and acting as a concierge coordinating details as simple as car services to more complicated requests. Dock Staff
-
May 2019 - May 2021
As the dock staff at one of Cape Cod's premier marinas, I was the face of the marina being the first one to greet guests and often the last to see them off. I was responsible for ensuring the safe and smooth dockage of vessels arriving to the marina as well as assisting in their disembarking from the docks. I was also charged with the duties of general maintenance around the docks and marina facilities as well as providing hospitality services and being available for all customer service needs.

Trips Coordinator
-
May 2022 - May 2023
As the trips coordinator I oversee all off campus activities for the club and plan out everything including travel arrangements, lodging, ticket sales and other activities for these club-wide events. In the time leading up to a trip I am in constant contact with representatives from mountains and travel companies alike to ensure smooth communication of pertinent information to our members. As the trips approach, I create and manage spreadsheets for email lists, emergency contact info, rooming groups, travel accommodations, and any other activities that may occur on the trip. I distribute itineraries and suggested information to travelers as well as oversee the media launch of trips and continued buildup of hype to ensure the maximum capacity possible on our trips. While on trips I make it a point to be available to everyone of my travelers for any questions or emergencies, as well as constantly being involved with and interacting with many different groups of people on our trip to make sure everyone’s having a good time and keep the energy high. This year I coordinated our largest annual trip which brings 250 students up to Canada's Mont Tremblant for skiing and après ski fun. Through strategic promotion and preparedness, not only did the entire trip capacity of 250 sell out in under 3 hours, but I was able to lead a large group through international travel and entertainment.
