  I started at CNHSA as a temporary File Clerk through the Choctaw Nation's Job for the Day program. I organized medical records and filed them using a terminal digit filing system.

• Medical Records Technician

  In April of 2017 I was hired as a Medical Records clerk where I worked until November of 2020. During this time I was trained in release of information, scanning, filing, archiving and HIPAA law. I received the Chief Batton scholarship in the summer of 2018. I began my studies towards a Bachelor's degree in HIM in August of 2018 and I will graduate in May of 2021.

• Registration Clerk

  • Jul 2016 - Apr 2017

  I was promoted to a full-time position within the registration department in July of 2016 where I worked until April of 2017. I was responsible for registering patients, updating demographics, directing patients to their appointments and, processing insurance.
