Bio
Charlie Hasdell
I had the pleasure of working with Richard through a large part of his early career on SingStar and DanceStar. His approach to the craft of game design always impressed me as well as the diligent documentation of his ideas and his passion for driving features forward. During DanceStar I managed Richard directly, he always took direction well and most importantly any task I gave him I knew would be delivered to the incredibly high standards I apply to myself. Richard is good at taking feedback, even in the sometimes contradictory world of game development. Richard was always happy to return to his designs and refactor them as the projects direction would twist and turn. The quality of each iteration would always be to a very high standard no matter how many he was asked to produce. Richard is equally comfortable at tackling UI designs as he is complex gameplay systems and I would be confident recommending him for any design role. He has shown incredible knowledge, adaptability and a keenness to learn new skills on his own initiative.

I originally met Richard as a colleague through our work at Sony. His knowledge of pop culture was rather impressive. Combined with his writing experience and style, I felt that he would be a perfect fit for a position at pop culture web site Loose Lips (www.loose-lips.com). Richard's articles are very insightful, well-researched, and thoroughly enjoyable. He is one of the top writers on the web site and it is always a pleasure to read his work!
