I am consultant within the Oracle Business Intelligence team.January 2015 - Present: Development of Oracle Warehouse Builder mappings for a major provider of food and hospitality. Star schema design.October 2014 - January 2015: Migration of HR data out of Oracle HRMS for population into new cloud-based system. Design and development of a synchronisation solution to integrate the Oracle database with Microsoft Forefront Identity Manager (FIM) via the Oracle EBS APIs to maintain parity between the cloud-based solution and Oracle.July 2014 - October 2014: "Big Data" proof of concept. Creation and configuration of Oracle NoSQL cluster and Hadoop (Cloudera CDH5 with MapReduce v2) environments. Development of MapReduce programs in Java, and Apache Pig. Visualisation of geospatial data in OBIEE 11g using HTML5 integration to create rich, interactive dashboards.December 2013 - June 2014: Business analysis, requirements gathering, source system expertise in Invoice Financing, data modelling and ETL development in Oracle Data Integrator, BI repository development. The project was a bespoke data warehouse and BI reporting solution for a major provider of personal and business financing.July 2013 - October 2013: Responsible for the design and development of an ambitious APEX integration with Essbase, producing forms which allow a user to retrieve and write forecast data to and from Essbase directly. Also responsible for the configuration and set up of OBIEE 11.1.1.7, as well as building the repository and catalogue items, federating data across Essbase, Oracle Database and SQL Server and enabling writeback capability.Nov 2012 - June 2013: A data warehousing and reporting solution for a major corporate client specialising in the food and hospitality sector. Responsibilities involved designing, building and troubleshooting ETL mappings in Oracle Warehouse Builder (OWB). I also worked on extending the functionality of an APEX solution for booking and planning events.

The system is consolidated from 3 disparate legacy systems and contains hundreds of millions of records.I have been brought in to support the System Integration Test phase, working across the full development life-cycle from initial load to the front-end itself.Day to day duties are varied, but include the creation and execution of test scripts and development work on the ETL and websphere side.In order to reduce delays in development time and defect turnaround, I have designed and developed a couple of tools to support the development team. One of these is a bespoke data obfuscation tool which enables client data to be safely worked on off-site, and another is a cut-down tool which will shrink the data stored in a database to x% of its original size while maintaining referential integrity.
