I worked with Richard during a phase of intense strategic development at Babcock. Richard was tasked with developing the concepts and innovative solutions to ensure that the Division was competitive in the rebid of Next Generation Estates contracts to MOD (£200M+ p.a at stake) and a project to develop the strategic planning options for entry into new market sectors. He has a talent for developing strategies from concept, through development and company governance processes, and on to implementation. He showed flair and diligence in managing complex capture plans, interfacing at board level with clients,specialist external advisors and internal relationships at all levels. He demonstrates mature judgement and strikes the fine balance between operating autonomously and presenting carefully thought through options for consideration and evaluation.
