Launched a startup company as a sideline business, to compete directly with a large American competitor (Coinstar CSTR NASDAQ) in the coin redemption industry. Change Drop was selected from 5 applicants and successfully presented to the Canadian Tire executive team. While operating Change Drop we collected over 1.3 million mixed coins from locations across Canada monthly. We had a network of armored carriers that receive remote notifications when pickups were required. We also negotiated a partnership agreement with the Royal Canadian Mint. This partnership allowed Change Drop to deposit coins directly at the Mints facility and bypass all banking processes. Show less
