  Responsible for driving the OPS program in regards to jurisdictional pipelines and dotted line supervision of OPS field employees. • Primary contact for PHMSA and state regulatory agencies in regards to jurisdictional pipeline compliance within 15 states located primarily in the east region of the United States. • Gather and maintain OPS system data for required reporting. • Act as primary Region trainer and skills evaluator for the Operator Qualification Program (OQP). • Regularly evaluate the Operation and Maintenance (O&M) manual as it relates to jurisdictions within the Region. • Ensures understanding and compliance with all updated policy, procedure, and regulatory compliance changes within the Region when applicable. • Identify and evaluate major pipeline repairs and upgrades and assist in the establishment of capital projects as needed. • Manage the qualification and hiring of outside contractors; includes OQP task qualifications. • Audit all new or acquired pipeline systems, and existing systems. • Provide technical support on pipeline systems to and liaison with the Area Teams on a regular basis, including subject matter expertise. • Provide safety and technical support in emergency situations. • Provide support and guidance to Area Directors, District Managers, Pipeline Supervisors, and Field Safety Managers. • Monitor compliance of scheduled maintenance tasks within the SAP system Support corporate training department to analyze, develop and implement new safety training programs and training centers. Support corporate compliance with Department of Homeland Security to develop, implement and maintain chemical site security plans in CSAT.
