At the Counseling Center, I have the opportunity to work with a wide range of client presentations. The applicable diagnoses vary in scope and severity, but all require unique conceptualizations in an attempt to ameliorate the client's concerns. I provide individual counseling, note/case management, and I engage in outreach to the student body in order to spread knowledge of mental health awareness as well as an orientation to the center's services. I am actively learning and implementing diverse psychological theories, while attempting to specialize in one or two. I receive weekly training on pertinent counseling issues and I engage in thorough group discussions of case presentations. I look forward to continuing these efforts over the coming months and to further enhancing and honing my counseling skills. Show less
