  Working with one of 4impact's clients I helped set up a software delivery capability for a new Australian bank. In 12 months the team delivered an array of cloud native apps for staff and customers automating the onboarding and origination processes. I provided architectural guidance on the successful adoption of key technologies such as Kubernetes, microservices, GitHub actions and Terraform, contributed to our self-organising Scrum culture and coached the developers joining the team as it scaled up.   At TSWG I was a senior developer working on a high volume online banking product implemented for several Australian banks. I functioned as the organisations architect, splitting my time between producing formal solution designs for the team and implementing strategic initiatives. Previously I was the technical lead doing pre-sales for projects to implement microservice based systems performing localisation, value-added business services and omni-channel apps for core banking and superannuation systems. I led requirements gathering workshops, hired teams, produced technical specifications, business requirements documents and other project collateral. I was hired on contact as an integration consultant for a SaaS solution for complex home loan origination.   In September 2012 I started work on a “Gift Finder” system for reviewing and indexing product listings from online department & gift stores. The main site associated with this system, SashasGift.co.uk (a traditional page/session site) was launched in late October, and Gifts4Men.co, (a single page AJAX based site) in December. I was able to take a complex greenfield system, involving a database, domain model, connector architecture, service layer, desktop client, and multiple top level websites from concept to launch in a matter of weeks, using only my own productivity frameworks, open source components and off-the-self hosting.   Yolus (now part of ION Trading) provide pure Java real time risk management and multi-asset class reporting software for the financial services industry. At Yolus I was technical lead on a client services team, developing and managing the release cycle of several projects for a large, international brokerage business, as well as supporting other projects within the company on an ad-hoc basis. The technical solutions focussed on real time aggregation of risk on positions in multiple asset classes for the purposes of risk control and regulatory reporting (Basel II, MIFID). The role involved working closely with members of the clients development teams and project sponsors, working on-site at offices London and the US for extended periods of time. My responsibilities included: - Planning and solution design of new releases. - Development of bespoke components within the Yolus framework to meet specific business requirements. - Preparing configuration of the system and ETL layer for deployment. - Deployment of system to client side environments and support of client side testing. - On-site training of client personnel in use and best practice of Yolus Java API's and datamodel. - Conducting first stage interviews for graduate level applicants for development positions.
