I purposely chose the word with as opposed to for, as Richard makes you feel part of the team by laying the path of success and letting you manage and grow. His deep understanding of the importance of company values and business success criteria allowed him to succeed and also to rally whomever work with him to develop these character traits for them to succeed too. This was a specialist 6 month position researching the impact of western banking practices in the Islamic world. Here I reviewed and assessed contractual agreements between Citigroup and it’s clients. I worked in a team of in-house lawyers advising on the legal aspects of corporate debt repayment and negotiation of terms. My primary contribution was to two major projects involving EMI and a Middle East Consortium.
