EVNY was incorporated in 2015 and provided seed money through a grant from the Foundation for Empowering Citizens with Autism (FECA). For two decades, FECA has been actively involved in supporting programs that help individuals with autism in the metropolitan New York area. Through a significant partnership with Devereux New York, FECA established a school, the Devereux Millwood Learning Center, and as students began graduating, an adult day habilitation program. The initial grant was part of FECA’s mission of supporting employment initiatives for adults with autism.
