Seconded permanently to Rolls-Royce Defence Aerospace working on in service engines including Spey (AMX & Nimrod), Viper (MB339, MB326, HS125, Kiran), Tyne (Atlantic & Transall), Conway (VC10), Olympus (Concorde) & Avon (Canberra). • Managed innovative programme of work on the Spey military engine to use constrained layer damping foil to prevent in-service cracking of compressor stator vanes. Allowed removal of significant flight safety concern and customer maintenance burden. • Conducted reviews with customers and suppliers/manufacturers in the UK and overseas. • Compiled and validated various design definitions to support engine operations. • Co-ordinated Rolls-Royce Defence Aerospace centenary celebration displays & open day
