During this project I worked the console and engineer station for the Coker unit. Here I was in charge of commission and decommissioning foundation fieldbus devices for this unit. Once the field devices were installed I would use the Delta V station to commission these devices. Once installed field technicians would simulate and source signals to the console where I would verify and sign off loop packages. Once all instrumentation was check out and installed I was part of the LAT test (Logic Assurance Test). Here we used the Triconex work station to satisfy various points and see final elements move according to system logic. All tasks were performed on time with zero incidents to equipment, environment and life.

My duration with Triad consisted of working the Coker TA for Exxon Mobile @ Chalmette Refining Company. While the unit was shut down I calibrated, installed, and resolved any issues with the units instrumentation. After working the TA I stayed there and rolled over to projects. These were new projects; additions, expansions, ground up projects. I would walk down the package to be constructed, install instrumentation, calibrate field devices, note any issues, resolve those issues or push them up, and finally commission the system for service. There I worked alone or with a 3rd party engineer firm.

During my time @ Shell/Motiva I worked PMs and routine maintenance. PM's performed were on the Shell Chemical furnaces. Myself, along with team members, would install, calibrate and repair all damaged instrumentation per each furnace. Once all instrumentation was installed we would assist unit operations with start up of each system.I was transferred to work routine maintenance portion of our contract. Here I would receive daily work orders that were back logged to be completed. These work orders were plant wide and consisted of various type of instrumentation. Work tickets consisted of; valves, flow meters, pressure meters, vibrations, temperature elements, levels, PLC issues, tubing repairs and assistance with run/stop issues with motors. Our team worked four different plant sites which were the St. Rose site, T-Unit, Shell chemical and Motiva refining operations. Here I worked various DCS systems: Yokogawa, Delta V, Honeywell some being foundation fieldbus and some standard 4-20 and Hart compatible.I also worked @ Murphy Oil Mereaux Refinery where I installed various pieces of instrumentation, tubing, analyzers, levels, pressure, flow and temperature meters.
