My focus as a project engineer is bottom mount quality coordinator and quality deployment team (QDT) controls support for one of our flagship products. As QDT support I am responsible for developing the controls architecture to implement various quality projects which require me to work with all parts of the business. My current expertise has been developing and implementing new algorithms from a system level. As the bottom mount coordinator I am responsible to track quality targets and review any potential rising issues. As part of this responsibility I analyze quality data to determine areas to focus in order to most improve our quality. In August of 2015 I became a Whirlpool Opex trained blackbelt. I need to complete four projects which utilize the opex and six sigma skills I learned during this training to become certified.I began working for Whirlpool corp in June 2013 as a Controls engineer. Effective March 1st, 2015 I have been promoted to project engineer to reflect the impact I've made to the business.
