Seconded to the Vehicle Physics department at MG Rover Cars, for a period of 11 Months. A consultancy package supplied by MIRA. I took responsibility for “Thermal Management, Fume Ingress and Water Management on all current and future models” for the duration of the contract and contributed to the development of the 4 new models (MG TF, ZR, ZS, ZT) and a host of one-off specials including a 500hp (Le Mans Engine) MG TF and a 580hp MG ZT-T ‘Fire Engine’ that ran at Bonneville Speed Week. Through a MIRA sponsorship deal, I was able to secure a secondment to this International F3000 team, who had recently benefitted from a large equity stake by Prodrive. As a consequence the team was based at Prodrive's HQ in Banbury. The team was led by ex-racing driver (now Red Bull F1 Team Principle) Christain Horner and during my tenure the team enjoyed its only podium finishes of the season.
