A varied role that incorporates a number of core functions. My primary function was to act in the role as a quantity surveyor whilst also being responsible for implementing and overseeing the capital and revenue expenditure program for circa 7,000 units across the borough of Bury with a £10m p/a spend. As part of my role I priced and undertook jobs/projects for public buildings in the borough of Bury as part of the revenue and expenditure budget. In 2019, I was the lead QS and PM on a £400k refurbishment and adaptation scheme on St. Monica’s 6th Form College making various upgrades and adaptations for it to become a college for young adults with special needs. I had direct involvement liaising with senior management. I oversaw a number of in-house operatives, supervisors and sub-contractors to ensure that CDM/health and safety is adhered to, KPI’s are maximised, service level agreements are maintained and the capital programme is delivered to the desired budget and quality parameters. The role actively involves process mapping, benchmarking current practice and progress to achieve year on year improvements. Show less

Project manager/Quantity Surveyor for a large commercial property developer on a wide variety of commercial fit out contracts (Type A & B). My role was varied and I provide the client with a cradle to grave service from project feasibility to submitting a final account. I would typically liaise with the client to understand their requirements, formulate a specification & schedule of works (if one has not already been provided), quote for works, answer client queries, procurement of subcontractors and suppliers, reviewing RAMS, reviewing subcontractor applications for payment and site valuations whilst liaising with the internal finance team to ensure that cash flow is managed and targeted margins are maintained Show less
