Richard is an excellent senior marketing professional. He is very knowledgeable and is a great team leader and people manager. He has an infectious positive can-do attitude and it was a great pleasure to work with him and his team at Healthcare at Home. I would strongly recommend his services to any organisation looking for someone with a strong Marketing pedigree combined with a down to earth, grounded approach. And I would welcome the opportunity to work together again!

I worked with Richard at Idis for 4 years during which time I saw him grow the business through sound marketing planning and critically, consistent and timely implementation of marketing activities. Richard’s military training is evident in his ability to lead, direct and ensure that the job always gets done. He is determined, decisive and able to maintain a bigger picture view throughout. With an incisive view of what it takes to create and build a brand combined with sound commercial acumen, Richard ensures growth targets are met through effective marketing. Leading by example, Richard works hard to ensure his team are motivated and focused, maintaining a sense of humour at all times. I would happily recommend Richard as a Marketing Director who will ensure you grow your brand and your business effectively.

Built and lead a team of 7 marketing and communications people, responsible for changing the perception of our customers following a period of operational turbulence. Our strategy for re-building trust and confidence in the market was to focus on amplifying the value of clinical homecare to all stakeholders; marketing to Pharma, NHS and also patients. Via our content strategy we grow our online presence on LinkedIn from 2,500 to 12,000 followers, in addition to optimising our recruitment process through changing to our online application process. As a result of our internal communications strategy we shifted our employee engagement score from 71% tom 78%, culminating in winning the CIT conference of the year award in 2017 working in collaboration with Touch Associates. Proud to say this film of Nick Gray telling his story won an IPA Healthcare Award for film https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xc7DXPybytA • Silver Lion for Pharma Communication to Healthcare Professionals, Business to Business, Film: Cinema, TV and Digital Film Content • Silver Lion for Pharma Communication to Healthcare Professionals, Business to Business, Integrated Campaign • Bronze Lion for Pharma Communication to Healthcare Professionals, Business to Business, Film Craft: Direction

Working in the unlicensed medicines, or named patient access space was truly an amazing experience. Being able to positively impact an individual patient's life every day through creating greater awareness of the managed access market delivered a positive return on investment for Idis.Telling patient stories of how they gained early access to a drug outside of the clinical trial setting, or how Idis supported a US pharmacy during a supply shortage situation was hugely impactful. Built and lead a small team of marketing professionals supporting business growth in the UK, EU and ROW with marketing campaigns that delivered a demonstrable return on investment. The 'I did this wtih Idis' campaign generated £7m of qualified pipeline opportunity and support the conversion of a £17m Managed Access Programme. My responsibilities included strategic and tactical planning, plus the execution of the 'I did this with Idis' global brand re-development programme, recognised by a number of different industry bodies and organisations. The result - the most creatively awarded campaign in the history of healthcare advertising.- The Creative Floor Awards - Bravest Client award[I DID THIS WITH IDIS - http://ididthis.idispharma.com]- Lions Health - Pharma awards - Silver campaign films, Silver Integrated campaign, Bronze website- AWWWards SOTD 26th July 2013- Grand Global Winner- IPA BOH 'Best in Show'- IPA BOH 'Gold' - Integrated Campaign- IPA BOH 'Best use of Art Direction'- IPA BOH 8 x 'Silver' Awards- IPA BOH 7 x 'Bronze' Awards- RX Gold Award- Webby Honouree - Interactive Video- Webby Honouree - Health, wellness and pharma website- Clio Silver award- PM Digital media award winner- Global Award - Web Design- Global Award - User Experience- Global Award - Video, Audio, Interactive Media - Global Award - Cinematography- FWA Public shortlist- DesignLicks SOTD- CSSA SOTD- PM Awards- The Creative Floor Awards - Best Website
