As a Digital Account Director I work closely with the Business Director to manage and grow existing client relationships, as well as delivering company growth through assisting with new business projects. My role sees me being data focussed, in order to deliver solutions to clients through digital media. I oversee a team of 6-7 people and ensure that they are knowledgeable and effective in their roles by helping them prioritise their task and ensure they are fully briefed with tasks in hand. I assist with the team expand their working knowledge of media implementation to guide them in best practice where needed. Currently we are missing an Account Manager in the team so I take on these responsibilities to make sure that deadlines are managed, and media is delivered as planned. I work with several media owners and tech providers to ensure we are utilising the best strategies and deployment of media budget that gives us the greatest return on investment for our clients. After 2 years of working at Transmission I was delighted to accept the promotion from Senior Account Executive to Account Manager within the Media Team.As well as continuing my skills and responsibilities with planning/buying media across digital, print & outdoor, campaign management across multiple clients and liaising with internal teams (Client Services, Social, Analytics, Finance, Management etc) on all aspects of media programmes; responsibility has increased heavily with client management/satisfactions and internal finance processes (projections and actuals). As well as supporting my Account Director, I am assisting the learning and growth of an Account executive in my direct team, including them on several of the campaigns that we run.Even with this increased responsibility I am still proactive in working in a positive and friendly manner. Transmission, formerly known as Pulse, is my first role after graduating from university. I started here as a Media Executive and after a year was promoted to a Senior Media Executive. As part of the Media Team my daily responsibilities include supporting the account management team across multiple clients, developing and executing integrated digital marketing and content strategies. I work regularly with internal teams such as Social, Client Services, Content and design to coordinate and deliver successful marketing programs. As well as briefing, planning and activating marketing programs, i am exposed to regular client communication, be it directly face-to-face, weekly status calls and email where i share my opinions, recommendations and analysis on marketing programs. I have developed skills in time management, negotiation, financial tracking, project management and the ability to present detailed reports, plans or ideas verbally to my team or to the clients. I enjoy the lively, fun and bustling working atmosphere where there is room for creative freedom but also the drive to produce detailed and well executed projects. As part of my final year studies at Northumbria University, i took part in the 'Undergraduate Consultancy Project.' This is an alternative option to the traditional undergraduate dissertation that you are required to take in your final year. This is part of Newcastle Business School’s drive to improve graduate employability by enhancing personal and professional development. The UGC programme involves helping real organisations with real life problems they are facing in their business environment. I was linked with 'The Healthcare Holiday', a UK based online portal with a global audience specifically in the health and wellness tourism market. This company provide resources in terms of information on travel and health news, advisories, innovations and developments from all corners of the globe. The client had issues with implementing a marketing strategy to attract web traffic and also to increase consumer interaction through social media. As part of a team we had to conduct primary and secondary research into the market [competitors, size, product/service rang], the company itself and also consumer behaviour within this market. My responsibilities included social media management [content update, interaction activities etc], secondary research analysis, the creation and distribution of a primary research survey, creative mind mapping to offer possible solutions to issues and finally constant communication between the client an our team to maintain a positive relationship and satisfaction on her behalf.
