During my tenure as Managing Director of CMS Affiliate Funds, I oversaw the day to day activity of 20 real estate funds representing a total of $1.4 billion of invested equity across a broad array of asset classes. The majority of equity raised by CMS was invested through joint venture operating partnerships. CMS Funds established a focus in the multifamily apartment sector which at one time owned a controlling interest in over 57,000 apartment units nationally. Capital was also raised and deployed in the hospitality sector growing to a portfolio of 30 full service, branded hotels. Other asset classes included a 550,000 square foot medical office portfolio, retail, condominium construction and nnn leased portfolio of assets.
