I researched monocrystalline solar cells and its applications in a battery-charging circuit to extend the flight-time of a UAV. I created a battery switching circuit that optimized the flight-time of a UAV by switching between two lithium polymer batteries. I simulated, designed and tested the circuit on Multisim. I created a 3D model of the configured solar array on SOLIDWORKS. The circuit prototype showed promising results with the battery charging circuit being able to determine which battery to use depending on each of the battery's output voltage. Show less
