Ricardo y yo, estudiamos juntos en la misma universidad (U-TAD) y trabajamos, codo con codo, en el mismo proyecto (Burn Me Twice). Después de esas experiencias solo tengo buenas palabras para describir su personalidad y profesionalidad. Desde que estudiamos lo admiré por su dedicación y exigencia en el estudio y más tarde, por su firmeza y temple a la hora de abortar tareas difíciles. Es de esas personas que dan el 150% en las tareas mandadas y, si pueden investigar más para obtener mejores resultados, no dudará en hacerlo. Es una persona en la que puedes confiar y en Burn Me Twice, lo demostró llevando la narrativa del juego a otro nivel, participando activamente en todas las reuniones y resolviendo momentos tensos con éxito. Es firme en sus decisiones y eso hace que puedas confiar y apoyarte en él como compañero. Debo decir, que disfruté mucho de su compañía al realizar trabajos y compartir tareas, y sé que, si tuviese que elegir a alguien en quien confiar para desarrollar un proyecto, pensaría en él sin dudarlo.

Since the beginning of Burn Me Twice’s development, Ricardo wasn’t afraid of taking ownership of the challenging narrative design and writing that the game demanded. He managed to find the difficult balance between standing up for his work and being able to listen and incorporate feedback when needed. As a producer, working with Ricardo has enriched my knowledge about the creative process behind writing for games and I’m glad of having the opportunity to work with him.

      As a game designer, I was involved from the beginning in the design of the mechanics of "Burn Me Twice" in collaboration with the other members of the team. Being a small study, our main challenge was making an ambitious game despite having limited resources.I was mainly in charge of: • Defining, iterating and designing the mechanics of "Burn Me Twice" along other members of "Null Reference"• Preparing and presenting the presentation of the concept to publicize the product• Designing puzzles "Burn Me Twice" has been recognized with numerous awards, among which that are the prizes of the categories "Best Student Game" (GameLab 2020), "BBK New Talents" (Fun & Serious 2020) and "Hobby: Game of the Year" (Game Development World Championship 2020). Beyond the creation and development of the plot, I tried to maintain an open communication channel with the other members of the team to carry out my duties in sync with the programmers and artists.I was mainly in charge of:• Designing and perfecting an original and adapted workflow to cover the narrative needs of "Burn Me Twice" • Designing environments and delimiting the scenarios that the levels needed to include in order to reinforce the narrative • Defining and elaborating the plot of the game, working on character design and worldbuilding• Supervising the implementation of the narrative within the game, readjusting the latter to adapt it to sudden changes and scope cuts• Writing the script for "Burn Me Twice"The narrative of "Burn Me Twice" was recognized with the award "Tell me a story" (IndieDevDay 2020).
