During my one-month volunteering experience at the Spanish Speaking Citizens' Foundation, I had the opportunity to make a positive impact in various areas. As a volunteer, I actively contributed to teaching English to newcomers, assisting them in their journey to adapt to their new surroundings.Additionally, I played a crucial role in the organization by stepping in for the receptionist during her time out, ensuring the smooth functioning of the Foundation's daily operations. Furthermore, I felt deeply fulfilled as I helped teach literacy skills to illiterate individuals, empowering them with the ability to read and write. One of the highlights of my volunteering was assisting the immigration law team in handling administrative tasks. By contributing my time and effort, I could witness the Foundation's dedication to supporting immigrants in navigating the complexities of the immigration process.Overall, my time as a volunteer at the Spanish Speaking Citizens' Foundation was incredibly rewarding and allowed me to foster connections and provide meaningful assistance to those in need within the Spanish-speaking community.
