  It was really great to spend about two month and a half with Evolution Mining. The overall team at Mungari was really easy to work with/collaborate with, and so great to be part of the Geotechnical team. Having such a positive and encouraging team is what every employee wants to have / to put themselves in. And Evolution Mining got this side. I am just proud to ever be part of their team. Gain some of the knowledge from the mines, as well as waiting for more coming opportunities with more flexibility to progress my career, that is what I am always looking for.   I got an opportunity to work in an open pit mine as vacation Student with a role of Geotechnical Engineer, in Tembagapura Mimika. I had chance to learn about Slope Radar monitoring system including its system, operational, function, applicability, faulty and interpretation data for open pit mine operation. The site manager gave me a chance to work on finding the threshold of the alarm of the monitoring system. Also, I got a chance to write my final paper on "Finding shear strength parameter from given typical rock mass" by using data provided from the mine site.
