Hearts 4 Homeless (H4H)
-
Apr 2022 - Present
Within the Hearts 4 Homeless (H4H) club, I proudly serve on the board in the role of Medical Information Officer (MIO). In addition to my administrative responsibilities, I actively engage in hands-on volunteer work, offering complimentary blood pressure examinations to individuals in need. Our volunteering efforts are centered in the greater Sacramento area, where we diligently assist the unhoused community. Occasionally, we provide essential supplies and basic amenities, generously funded by the proceeds of our fundraisers. My involvement with this club is a profound source of personal fulfillment, as it allows me to channel my passion into meaningful support for my community. Show less

My primary role involved assisting in the creation of data-driven Google Slide presentations, particularly focusing on commodity reports and daily market news affecting supply chains. This experience allowed me to gain valuable insights into supply chain dynamics and enhance my research and data presentation skills while collaborating with a dedicated team at Resilinc. Show less

Shadow Experience under Dr. Uttam Reddy
-
Jul 2022 - Aug 2022
For two weeks, I shadowed board-certified UCI Health nephrologist, Dr. Uttam Reddy, in which I was able to gain valuable knowledge and experience. The UCI Kidney Pancreas Transplant Program is the fastest-growing kidney transplant program in California, going from 35 kidney transplants performed in 2015 to over 140 transplants performed in 2022. I was able to observe transplant patients in all phases of care. I shadowed our clinics that featured newly transplanted patients, as well as clinics that brought in waitlisted patients coming for a re-evaluation before their transplant. I also observed clinics in which dialysis patients were being evaluated for the first time for transplant candidacy. I observed patients brought in for deceased donor transplants that were having their surgery that day. Show less

Shadow Experience under the ShadowMeMedicine Program
-
Jul 2022 - Aug 2022
I got the opportunity to shadow numerous doctors including cardiologists, pulmonologists, primary care doctors, and more. Through this program, I was able to be on a steady rotation which expanded my knowledge of the medical field immensely. I am grateful to Dr. Devang Savani and his daughter, Anissa Savani, for creating this program that gave me the opportunity to participate in such an amazing program. TAAL Indian Dance Club
-
Sep 2017 - Jun 2021
Dance has always been a passion of mine so I joined the TAAL dance club at my school. I fell in love with the family that had been created there. Joining TAAL was a way for me to express my love for dance while appreciating my culture as well. I have so far choreographed the dances for my group every year since my freshman year for our school culture show. I will continue my leadership during my senior year by becoming one of the Presidents of the club. Dance has always been a passion of mine so I joined the TAAL dance club at my school. Kathak Dancer
-
Aug 2017 - Jul 2019
I have always wanted to get in touch with my Indian heritage so I decided to join the Shakara Dance Academy. There I learned the dance form of Kathak, not only a new style of dancing but a new form of learning about my religious heritage.
