  I was under an internship at The Energy Source preschool for children with learning disabilities under the guidance of child psychologists to gain a better understanding of different therapeutic methods applied in real world environments. I guided the children in developing their social skills through healthy interactions with other students at the preschool and communication with teachers. I supervised activities that helped the children target their sensory, motor and memory skills. Helped students feel as though they were in a safe space and built bonds and connections with them. Through this internship, I understood the importance of the lasting impact preschool teachers have on a child as well as, how therapeutic practices are conducted and how they influence a person directly.
