Maya Situnayake
Riahn’s warm nature and good humor has left me with fond memories of our time working together. He was a Field Research Assistant at the Wilderness and Wildlife Conservation Trust in 2016, when I joined for my masters’ research work. He helped get me up to speed with the project, answered all my questions about camera trapping, and also immediately made me feel a part of the team. We worked together closely over the course of six months collecting data in the field in challenging and rugged landscapes. There were a couple of occasions where the field-truck broke down in very remote locations, and Riahn showed admirable pragmatism and resourcefulness when faced with these (unexpected) challenges. Riahn was consistently dependable, enthusiastic, good fun, and was a wonderful part of the team. He has my highest recommendation.
