Lockheed Martin Aerospace Engineering Explorer Post -The Aerospace Engineering Explorer Post sponsored by Lockheed Martin is designed to give area high school students a behind-the-scenes, first-hand experience with aerospace engineering and technology. The Aero Explorer Post, open to all area High School students, meets every other week for 8 months on the Lockheed Martin Waterton campus. Students will hear from industry experts on various space programs including Maven, Insight, Osiris-Rex and Orion. Student participants will also complete a number of hands-on engineering activities and have the opportunity to take part in a final design project. For this final challenge, student teams will design and build a capstone project with their peers for an engineering-related objective. Students will have the opportunity to tour Lockheed Martin’s various facilities at the Waterton campus as well as the engineering school at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Lockheed Martin Engineers volunteer their own time as advisors to help run this program and can be approached for mentoring opportunities throughout the year.Intern

I was invited to play in the World Lacrosse Championship in Israel and act as a youth ambassador for the sport. I got the opportunity to work with other kids from around the world to play lacrosse and expand my cultural horizons. I was also able to learn to conquer language differences to work as a team. We also interacted with players from the senior league teams, worked as ball boys during their games and helped teach new players about the game of lacrosse. I designed a school starting with just a thought and had the opportunity to go through all the steps to "complete" my building.
