As the Internship Development Specialist with Easter Seals Crossroads we have launched a new program called; The College Intern Experience. The College Intern Experience is a two year grant funded by Lilly. We are partnering with six local colleges; Ball State, Indiana University, Purdue University, IUPUI, University of Indianapolis, and Ivy Tech; in hopes of targeting students who have been diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and assisting these students with internship placements within their majors. The College Intern Experience is a great program that offers each student a stipend for completing the internship, approval for college credit, and additional support with resume writing, interview skills and on-site support during the duration of the internship.
