Rhonda Plaisance became my colleague and good friend since she joined eQHealth Solutions as an IT QA Analyst in June, 2014. She and I both worked closely together as fellow software QAs on the Care Coordination project and also collaborated with one another across teams. During her tenure, one of Rhonda’s key duties was analyzing and validating data for a healthcare population management web application suite that featured a large collection of visualizations, including SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) reports. She was involved in comparing this data in the user interface (UI) with SQL code output from Microsoft SQL Server Management Studio. Additionally, she frequently exported the data from the SQL queries and the web application itself to Excel for further analysis. Ultimately, her systematic approach and attention to detail prevented a great deal of defects from reaching production users. Rhonda also became an indispensible resource for software automation testing and for her expertise in functional, regression, and acceptance testing of the UI. She worked closely with fellow QAs to create and maintain test scenario and test case repositories in Microsoft Test Manager (MTM) and also furnished QAs on other projects with cross-team automation support. Rhonda provided guidance to the developers on what testing approaches were most suitable and how to use the test cases to help understand the requirements and debug the application. As helpfulness and patience are two of her most outstanding qualities, she was always sharing code and shortcuts with the team, going above and beyond to resolve issues, and providing much needed feedback. Because Rhonda is so talented and pleasant to work with, I am confident that she would make a tremendous addition to any organization.
