      Bowne was acquired by RR Donnelley.During my career with these companies, I performed quality assurance testing of on-line surveys and data capture as well as email collateral proofreading for accuracy and functionality of URL links. I also spent many years testing software for reliability and customer expectations. I was the gateway between our programmers and client services representatives to ensure the end product met the client’s requirements and a lot of times beat their expectations.In my manager and supervisor positions, I would review every project for accuracy before it was delivered to the client. This meant knowing the ins and outs of every client and the selection system software from where their data was selected. Use queries to ensure the right audience has been selected from the selection system to blast to.I have also been part of many teams to design new client databases as well as their web development. We used the Scrum methodology to streamline the work process to assign roles in the development and tasks that they are accountable for. We used Excel in SharePoint to do this. Sprints were a week long at which time the team would go over completed tasks as well as what stage the uncompleted tasks were in and discuss any changes to the requirements and tasks for the next sprint.Designing test cases, isn’t just about testing for what was developed and the requirements that the client asked for but it is also about all the what if’s…what if the customer does this…what will the software do, what will the results be…it is all about thinking outside of the box! After the test cases are developed, I would execute and track and document the results.
