As the Director of Housing Development for the non-profit housing developer CARE 66, in Gallup New Mexico, I managed the rehabilitation of the Historic Lexington Hotel that houses CARE 66s Transitional Housing Program and 21 units of permanent supportive housing. This rehab had over 10 different government-based funding sources and involved both asbestos abatement and temporary re-location. I managed the development process of the Hooghan Hozho’ 44-unit multi-family development, which included planning, fund-development, financing procurement, environmental review processes, grants management and re-location.

Aug 2001 - Sep 2009
I came to New Mexico in 2001 to work with the Red Mesa Foundation, in Gallup New Mexico, a Native American organization that was seeking to utilize land assets in support of Christian ministry. I was involved in real-estate transactions as well as building entitlements through land planning. One of our accomplishments was to successfully bring an ordinance for a planned mixed use district through the City of Gallup approval process.
