Greg Rollins

An excellent communicator, and facilitator of the business processes. More importantly, a person of integrity and character.

Rich Brooks, MCP MCT MOS-Master

I have worked for Rhodes for a long time. He has guided me through some important career challenges and made difficult and daunting procedures seem intuitive and easy. Very happy to be working with a person that is all business and has the ability to effectively communicate and relate with all types of people at all technical and employment levels.

As our company grew, managing contracts and the relationships to complete them became more complex. Seeing an opportunity to bring order out of chaos I created the Contract Management Office to manage the project contract life cycle and prime/subcontractor agreements, coordinate project implementation with operations and accounting teams, and supervise the federal classified contract oversight program.Because of my diverse experience, interests, and business sense, I frequently participate in Executive Management and Business Development strategy meetings. Because of my communication skills, I often have special assignments involving internal messaging and official communications. • Business Manager and Facility Security Officer (FSO)
      • Sep 2005 - Sep 2013

I returned to Teksouth to work in business development with federal customers and manage our trade show efforts directed a promoting our federal data analysis tools and data warehousing technology. After a year I was promoted to Business Manager to supervise the accounting, contracting, and HR departments. As Business Manager, I developed policies, procedures, and guidance documents to unite compliance with efficiency in a market segment (defense contracting) where regulation can impede productivity. My Accounting System Manager and I implemented the Deltek Costpoint Accounting System and achieved our Defense Contracting Audit Agency accreditation on the first attempt. Task and employee management for seven direct reports in diverse roles was challenging but rewarding as we served a company of over 150 employees and various large customers. In addition to the Business Manager role, I also supervised the federal classified contract security program, serving as the Facility Security Officer (FSO). Through program management and employee training, our program received consistent Commendable ratings for security posture. Program management involved ongoing security risk monitoring and threat assessment, briefings, and reporting. Show less

    • Preacher
      • Jun 2001 - Aug 2005

Had a rewarding experience combining my desire to help young people and teach important spiritual life principles for a few years as the preacher for a church near the University of Alabama. I stumbled upon the opportunity and the Teksouth executive management encouraged me to spend time doing this work that I felt I would regret not pursuing. It was a wonderful experience as it allowed me to blend both my love for God and people with the productivity and communication skills gained in the workplace. A substantial focus of my work was with the college students by providing spiritual education and guidance as they were advancing in professional knowledge but work with the younger and older church members received significant attention. Time and personnel management skills from the workplace allowed me to manage a rigorous personal study program, develop a teaching program for college and adult students, including writing class books, encouraging and visiting others, and teaching home and campus Bible studies. I also started a monthly publication for young people, Godly Youth. I chose to leave to return to the business world but have used the experiences in my personal religious devotion and service.
