Rhoderick was my instructor for two years at Wake Technical Community College, but I have known him now for eight years. I have never met an instructor that was more dedicated and that really took pride in serving his students well. He always had such a positive attitude, professional, polished and so down to earth. He was a very humorous person, so he made math fun and hungry to learn. He always made himself available whether it was by phone, email, class (before/after). It did not matter what type of difficulty anyone was having in Math, he made sure that he was able to reach the student and help the student understand. He was always so patient, kind, and easy to talk to. I always felt that he really valued his work, students and wanted his student to be the best. It was amazing to watch him when a student did not understand and watch him go step by step in the process until he saw which step the student was having difficulty. It did not matter if he had to repeat it several times, he was just as patient. Then once the student grasped it, he would smile. I learned so much from him. I like Rhoderick because he is the type of person who maintains contact and his education extends beyond the classroom.
