      As part of my degree course I was given the opportunity to hold a placement for a year in industry. During my placement at Optima Warehouse Solutions I was given the task of heading a new testing department for the software that was being produced. I worked well in communicating and documenting my work so that the developer department could alter the software accordingly. This task also included prioritising the issues found for the several phases that application went through before it was given to the beta testing team. During my year in industry Optima Warehouse Solutions Limited expanded rapidly resulting in the expansion and creation of a larger testing team. This helped me to develop my team skills as I was tasked with basic training of the testing team using the software package Microsoft Task Manager of the system to record the tests. Show less
