Managing a team of six delivering stand out marketing campaigns to promote Rioja wines and the region to UK trade and consumers. Navigating complicated post-Brexit administration and reporting, ensuring EU funded campaigns hit specific KPIs year after year. As the lead on Rioja Wine UK, I am in charge of a busy press office, supporting campaigns with standout influencer marketing and digital/social advertising, media partnerships, trade education, consumer experiential marketing, retailer promotions and trips out to the region to build on key stakeholder relationships and maximise earned media potential. Alongside this, I also head up APCOR – the Association of Portuguese Cork, delivering a full trade and consumer campaign to educate UK on recycling natural cork which includes leading on proactive press campaigns, advising on influencer and social marketing as well as running retail promotions. I was responsible for setting up an award-nominated campaign with Majestic Wine seeing the first ever UK Cork Harvest take place creating a domino effect with other wine retailers in the UK all keen on starting their own cork harvests in a bid to reduce carbon footprints.
