As a YDP for Boys and Girls Club, I was responsible for a number of children I was working with. Working at a school site, rather than a clubhouse site, we did much more than just ensure fun and games for our kids. Throughout the summer we attempt to further our students educational knowledge, while also giving them proper recreation for health and fitness as well. Making sure the students were on track to begin a new school year was our main objective. Ensuring their personal happiness was a strong second. Show less

As a recreation assistant we had many objectives. Not only did we have to ensure the safety of our guest, but also understand proper procedure under any emergency circumstances. Being certified in CPR and lifeguarding allows me to notice many negative possibilities around the workplace. I believe I have become more aware of these situations and more well rounded to assist in those situations. As a recreation assistant we had many objectives.
