      >I have been involved in ITS projects related to Signal Coordination and Timing Project (SCAT) and Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ).>Enhance progressive traffic movement through IL-157, without creating excessive delays.>Optimizing signal timing/phasing of the eight intersections along the corridor by using Synchro.>Improving travel time along the corridor, as well as reducing the amount of emissions. >Traffic signal controllers and detectors will be replaced.

    • Research Assistant
      • Dec 2017 - Jun 2018

As a Research Engineer, I am a part of a team at Southern Illinois University, Edwardsville focusing on developing traffic simulation models by using PTV VISSIM and Synchro/SimTraffic, which are micro-simulation software. The research team simulated signal timing and signal phasing for several intersections in the model, drivers behavior, travel time, total and average delay, etc for several evacuation incident scenarios like fire, smoke and vapor release at Wood River Refinery. Our team has created a model for existing condition on I-255, IL-143, and IL-111. We are going to see what will happen if any incident scenarios happen that can affect I-255 in the area.
